Egbert Wesselink serves as Senior Advisor in PAX, the Dutch peace movement, where he is leading the programme on Natural Resources, Conflict and Human Rights. His focus is on due diligence in conflict affected areas and on the impacts of business enterprises on the rights and interests of communities, especially in Sudan, South Sudan, DRC and Colombia. He represents PAX in several multi-stakeholder initiatives, including the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights. Apart from that, he is deeply involved in human rights work in Russia. Egbert wrote the report Unpaid Debt that sparked a war crimes investigation in Sweden and now aims to make the case meaningful for the victims of international crimes.
