About this session

  • Almost two years have passed since 50 pension funds, asset managers and banks signed an agreement to align with the Dutch Cabinet’s climate goals and, among other things, commit to mandatory climate impact reporting on their investments from 2020. Investor initiatives are also underway to improve non-financial reporting. This plenary will examine and analyse investor action and reporting on climate change:
  • Climate agreement: have signatories reported on their climate impact and is the agreement driving progress more broadly? Are signatories on track to have emissions reduction plans in place by 2022?
  • How aligned are major investors with the Paris goals? Will fossil fuel divestments continue to pick up?
  • Exploring industry initiatives to harmonise non-financial reporting
